PHE and evidence into action

Public Health England have released From Evidence into Action: Opportunities to Protect and Improve the Nation’s Health (October 2014). It lists priorities for the next five years based on evidence of what is known to work to most effectively rank interventions and encourages others including health professions, national and local government, voluntary and community organisations to apply evidence to protect and improve health.

  1. I am sorry to se that Hypothermia which kills on average 27,000 per annum and causes 10’s of thousands of hospital admissions annually, for our poorest people, is not included in this list. Nobody should die of want in 21st century!

    1. Hi Maurice

Yes I agree entirely that there are other areas that should be covered particularly relating to poor housing and poverty. I am running a seminar around housing and health shortly, so more on this later in November….

      Best wishes, Jill.
